Mathematics Department established in 2007 offers the following Programmes.

B.Sc - Bachelor of Science ( Mathematics)

M.Sc., - Master of Science ( mathematics)

Objective:

The Department of mathematics seeks to develop the inherent mathematics talent in student's right after the +2 level and guide them into research.

Faculty:

The department has faculty members with rich experience and excellent academic record. Their areas of specilization include Alegebra, Topology, Bi topological spaces, Discrete Mathematics, Graph Theory, Number Theory, etc.,
Specialization of staff member in varied arena like Banking, Insurance, marketing, Accounts, Taxation and Ecnomoics help the students to gain knowledge from different fields of their choice.

Salient Features:

B.Sc., ( Mathematics and Computer Science): It offers 3 year degree programme with two majors ( Mathematics and Computer Science) with equal weightable for both the disciplines. The syllabus for this programme has been designed in such a way that the students can pursue higher education either in Mathematics or in Computer Science.

M.Sc., ( Mathematics ): The Syllabus gives equal weightage to both pure and applied mathematics. The programme includes special papers like Stochastic Processes, Wavelet Transforms, Applied Cryptography, Differential Geometry and Algebraic Number Theory, providing background for pursuing research work in pure/applied mathematics.

Math Forum: Association of the department of mathematics organizes special lectures, seminars, workshops and symposia to motivate the students of mathematics gain mastery over their subject and also know the recent trends in the field.
